The department also has a Rural Health and Development project in Haryana. It covers a population of about 22,000. This is basically an Information, Education and Communication project, with staff strength 8. It incorporates health, Child-to-Child School Health Programme, environmental conservation, development and literacy programs. The Government of Haryana has asked the hospital to expand its services to cover a larger population in the district of Gurgaon in Haryana and support their primary health care services.
