One of the main aims of the department is to evolve into a training and research center for community health and development organisations. It already offers training and research consultancy services to other NGOs.

We have also produced MIS software for community based organisations. These programs are easy to load and can run on older operating systems and on configurations 386 and above. For Community Health projects, we have developed the SEHAT Software and for Child to Child Education Projects, we have produced the BALMITRA software.
